Extreme Weezils - Take the Extreme Weezils' Dollar-A-Day Challenge

A dollar a day : would you miss it? The Extreme Weezils wish to issue the following Dollar-A-Day Challenge to all you fellow ferret enthusiasts out there to start along with the new year:

What does one dollar buy you each day? Are you an avid coffee drinker? If you live here in the Seattle, WA area you know that a latte can cost up to $4.00 each. If you downsized your coffee servings, which is an excellent idea for your health anyway [I am a former caffeine junkie, so I know what I'm talking about] you leave a dollar to go in the coffer.

What about soda? One serving of soda pop these days ranges from $0.60 to $1.75 depending on the serving size. Skip one soda a day, which you really won't miss, replace it with filtered water or green tea, and there's your dollar!

Do you grab something at the coffee shop for breakfast every day? Do you heat up a frozen breakfast meal, pre-prepared from your grocer's freezer? Your health will thank you for passing on the above and having a protein shake, real organic cereal of some kind, or even a few eggs without toast. This saves money AND creates a healthier you, allowing yet another dollar to be found to place in your collection.

The rest of the places where an extra dollar a day can be found and put aside to donate to a ferret or animal organization or charity of your choice will follow a similar method as the ones listed above. Lunch, snacks, dinner, dessert, any take out food or drink or other convenience foods can be changed to not only be healthier, but saves you money as well. More dollars will free themselves up, although all you need is one.

At the end of a month, or a different time period of your choice, gather your dollars from wherever you store them. Go to your local bank, grocery store, or other money exchange facility and purchase a money order with those dollars. Or, deposit them in your bank account, keeping track of how many you save, and write a check. Send this money to the ferret shelter, organization, or other animal organization of your choice as a tax-deductable donation. Make sure you keep records for the tax man! You are doing yourself a favor by treating yourself to the fine art of giving as well as helping the ferrets by providing a better quality of life.

This is your challenge, set upon you by the Extreme Weezils. Make the world a better place by doing your part, if not for the world's sake, then for your own...
