Telling Secrets Ferrets are curious little creatures and know a great deal about secrecy. They may tell you, if held near the face in a form of licking near or in the earFuzzy Kisses

'Our ferrets 'snake' when they get out of the bath. They do like the
flat [ferret] but run round closed to the ground as possible to dry off and
look just like a snake. Its so cute to watch.' Same thing as Mouthing contributed by Pam and ferrets Gizmo, Jasmine, and Spyro When a ferret suddenly jumps awake from sleep and either falls out of his hammock or comes running out of his hidey hole and scratches furiously, before immediately going back to sleep. contributed by : Meredith W. Harper [ad-VANTZD pantz dantz-a] This is one of those things that started innocently enough, but later turned into it's current twisted form. It is actually a pet name for Raven, and started out by calling her Squirty Pants - since she was the smallest ferret. It somehow morphed into it's current form, which came out of my mouth for no apparent reason. We liked it, so we've kept it! [fai-ret tip-eng] The latest craze sweeping through the Extreme Weezils' playtime - Basil seems to have been the first one to discover it : while wrestling with his brothers, Basil will run up to the nearest ferret and 'BOINK'! tip them over! Then, JUMP on said tipped ferret and WEEZIL WAR WRESTLE! [blits-ee fit] This relatively new phenomenon happens when Blitz doesn't get his way. Usually this occurs when Blitz wants to come out and we do not oblige. Blitzy Fits can be him scratching feverently at the carpet by the doorway, dunking bedding and tents into the ceramic water dish, pushing litter pans away from the wall or even tipping them over, and similar acts of wanton destruction. The scariest version of a Blitzy Fit involves him BITING the front cage bars alternating with clawing at them, risking not only snapping a claw off but a tooth as well! [wee-zel kam] Our version of a Ferret Cam, with TWO views on the same page : one view a panorama of the Ferret Room, the other shows the front cage [on the other side of the barrier, closest to us in the living room] ... On twelve hours or so a day, the Weezil Cam ALWAYS eventually features varied amounts of Extreme Weezils, depending on how long you want to wait or how many times you return! Email us for specific times, game playing events, and room cleaning adventures... [morn - eng roemp] The first outing of the day for all six ferrets ... They are allowed out of their Ferret Room to roam designated parts of the house, places that have been reasonably ferret-proofed ... Usually their MOST ACTIVE romp, war dancing, wrestling, and causing Malicious Mayhem [ray-zen die-veng] Place some raisins in some shallow water, add ferrets, and watch the diving begin! Put your feets in the air like ya just don't care .... sleep on your back curled in a 'C' .... jump around, jump around ... throw your head up and open your mouth, sway back and forth and bite the air, bite the wall, bite the floor .... DO THE DOOK! [pop-korn POP-KORN ray-beez RAY-BEEZ] the appropriate remark or saying to accompany the special type of Weezil War Dance that Raven invented then taught all the Extreme Weezils to do : not only do all rules for the Weezil War Dance apply, but it is certainly coupled with He-Heeing, Dooking, as well as repetitive bouncing up and down ... boing, boing, boing ... Think of ferrets in a popcorn maker, without the heat and melted butter or oil ... [ray-beez bay-beez] another nickname for the Extreme Weezils ... dervied from the above rabies facet ... no offense meant or taken [eks-treem] well beyond moderation, very out of the ordinary; exceptional, extraordinary; intense, ultimate; radical, great; fantastic, outrageous, remarkable [wee-zelz] our own particular way to spell weasel, a nickname for ferret; 3rd most popular pet in the U.S. while simultaneously being the #1 most misunderstood [peak - e - duke] The ferret version of Peek-A-Boo [fairht] familiar abbreviation for ferret [duke] clucking or chuckling sounds that ferrets make when they are excited or happy [duk-er] another name for a ferret, or 'one who dooks' [fenk] what ferrets try to do when they lick, lick, CHOMP on your skin! derived from 'rat fink' which came from 'rat face' being the kind of face the ferrets make when they try to bite our skin [hee - hee - eng] the fast in and out breathing, almost like a panting, sound that ferrets make when excited, Weezils Wrestling, and War Dancing 
[wee-zel wah dantz] the sometimes misunderstood dance of joy that ferrets do when they are happy and having a great time. often accompanied by dooks and he-heeing
[wee-zel rest-len] that mock fighting activity that almost all ferrets, male and female, seem to enjoy immensely [soo-doe poop-eng] when ferrets go into the litter box and ACT like they are going, when they are really not, in order to either be let out straight away or to get a treat sooner [can also be referred to as 'faking the funk' - contributed by Wolfy] [fairt-ty] anything about, reminding of, or pertaining to ferrets [poo-peez] a nicer way to refer to ferret excrement [bee-eng a pray-ree dog] the stance that some ferrets have when on just their hind legs, looking around as if they were prairie dogs [mow-then] that open-mouthed stance ferrets often take facing each other inside a tube or similar enclosed space, sort of an 'I'm bigger than you are' display [toob dwella] what a ferret is when inside a tube, resting or just playing [doo-eng spenz] when a ferret is in a tube moving in circles, sometimes with heads poking out sometimes all the way in, usually accompanied by scrabbling scrabble [as in 'Mad Scrabbler'] [skra-bel] derived from the scratching sounds ferrets make when going through plastic tubes at high rates of speed. Sounds of a Mad Scrabbler is indicative of a just awake fuzzie anxious to get to the litter pan...
[fairt tre-shoor] anything a ferret decides to steal and stash Fuzzy Butts [or fuzzbutts] [fuz-ee butz] another name we ferret owners call our ferrets[chik-en stex] the name we have given the N-Bone Chicken Chew Sticks that all of the Extreme Weezils love ... kind of like rawhide for ferrets [speed buhmp] similar to Flat Ferret, when a ferret gets down on their bellies, all legs disappear, face flattens down, tail streaming behind them on the ground, and usually accompanied by a pitiful look. This can mean anything from , 'Play with me' to 'Pick me up' or 'Snack, please' even 'I'm sick.' [flat fairht] see Speed Bump ... Brooke sent HER family's version ... We call "flat ferret" a dead ferret because ours, Rocky and Mercury, always do it when they've worn themselves out. or if they want attention ... [wee-zel-eyezed] having been exposed to, presented, or otherwise introduced to the Extreme Weezils or a friend of the Extreme Weezils - GET YOUR 'YOU HAVE BEEN WEEZILIZED' LOGO HERE - [fairt math] describing the addiction - like desire to add more ferrets to your home, seeming to strike almost all ferret owners in varying degrees [free raynj fairts] used by mistake at first, this is to describe the free roam status of ferrets having the run of the house, either just being caged at night or not at all. Trips to the meat department in food stores have not been the same since, with both my husband and I snickering when we see the free - range chicken packages... Yes, we ferret lovers tend to have a skewered sense of humor ... [eff-eff-see] the critical number of fuzzies reached to where not another can possibly fit.
